Going to greater lengths in USB3 Vision®
USB3 Vision® is an excellent standard for machine vision, allowing for 5 Gbps high-speed communication and excellent compatibility. Previously limited by its relatively short transmission distance, 3M now provides USB3 Vision cable assemblies that expand both functional cable distance and bendability within the standard. The 3M USB3 Vision Camera Cable Assembly selection includes:
- Greater lengths in USB3 Vision® performance. The 3M USB3 Vision Industrial Camera Cable Assembly, 1U30E Series – providing a transmission distance >10 meters depending on equipment.
- Cable bending durability >100 million cycles. The 3M USB3 Vision Industrial Camera Cable Assembly, 1U30G Series is excellent for repetitive motion applications, while delivering a functional cable length > 7 meters.
- Two additional cable assemblies featuring excellent durability and transmission distance in the 3M USB3 Vision standard.
Today’s automated manufacturing equipment requires more sensor, motor and electronic components, often with less space.
3M™ Mini Stack Connector Series allows for faster wiring time and reduced board footprint. It features insulation displacement contact (IDC)termination which dramatically reduces the wiring timerequired for traditional crimping methods, where wires must be individually stripped, inserted into contacts, crimped and insertedinto housings. Instead, installers simply place 2 to 4 wires and sockets into the handtool andterminate them simultaneously with asimple squeeze.
