Alpha Wire’s EcoGen is a line of environmentally friendly wire and cable products designed to meet modern performance and ecological standards. The EcoGen range includes several types of cables such as EcoWire, EcoWire Plus, EcoFlex, EcoFlex PUR, EcoCable, and EcoCable Mini, all made with innovative materials like modified polyphenylene ether (mPPE). These materials are non-halogenated and contain no heavy metals, making them fully recyclable and compliant with environmental regulations like RoHS and WEEE.
Alpha Wire’s EcoGen is the next generation of eco-friendly, high-performance wire and cable, designed to provide better performance in a smaller package due to reduced insulation and jacket thickness. EcoGen wire and cable is up to 47% smaller and 65% lighter while still performing at the highest levels. The superior dielectric properties of mPPE make a reduced wall thickness possible while maintaining the same electrical properties as a thicker PVC control cable.
