MX80 Series: Compact Waterproof Automotive In-line Connector
The MX80 Series is a family of compact waterproof automotive in-line connectors.
They are miniaturized by design and ideal for use in areas where vehicle mounting space is limited. MX80 Series connectors support a varying wire size range for exceptional power and control. In addition, an IPX9K type is available for 4 positions.
- ISO/JASO/EWCAP/VDA standard 0.64 mm tab size
- Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) on pin and socket housing
- USCAR-2 and LV214 Tested

- IPX7 ingress protection rated (4 positions also available in IPX9K)

MX81 Series: Connectors for Automotive Applications
JAE has developed the MX81 Series of connectors, which use standard automotive terminal designs (terminal tab size of 0.64 mm and contact pitch of 2.54 mm), but are more compact, at approximately 60% of the size of existing JAE products.
This product has been evaluated for automotive applications according to the USCAR-2* standard and has been confirmed to have high contact reliability and robustness. The socket connector has a simple one-piece design with a hinged retainer that allows detection of half inserted terminals. There is also a clear audible click to help confirm complete mating. These functions prevent incomplete assembly and contribute to improving customer workability.
- 0.64 mm tab size which is standardized by ISO/JASO/EWCAP/VDA
- Employs the same socket terminals as the waterproof MX80 Series
- Socket housing is one-piece, using a hinged retainer structure
- Pin headers are compatible with through-hole reflow soldering
- UL94 V-0 materials are used in the housings for pin headers
- Tested to USCAR-2 standard
- Terminal pitch is 2.54 mm, allowing connection with standard pin contacts
- Different mating key codes are available
